In the 19th minute of the match Manfred Tauss sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fynn Nork skillfully saved the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Polonia Marlow's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Backes came free, but Fynn Nork reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Manfred Tauss had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fynn Nork. Polonia Marlow's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manfred Tauss was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Lusitânia's Vasili Köppchen got a free kick in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Lusitânia's Manfred Tauss nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fynn Nork made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The throw-in from Hartmut Rauhaus in the 35th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Lusitânia's Rolf Hach. Michael Jung hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After having played for 42 minutes, Jan Backes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lusitânia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Backes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sönke Fohler hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The supporters of Lusitânia booed when Polonia Marlow was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antti Brosig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Backes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fynn Nork having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michael Jung to strike the kick off in the second half. Dimitri Grobmaul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Buhisan, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Halldor Krippels's late challenge caught a Lusitânia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Halldor Krippels helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Polonia Marlow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halldor Krippels to maneuver through the defense. Dimitri Grobmaul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Halldor Krippels in the 69th minute of play. In the 75th minute Michael Jung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitri Grobmaul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lusitânia made a substitution. The crowd rose to their feet as Lusitânia's Jan Backes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fynn Nork. That made the score 0-3 after 85 minutes of play. Dimitri Grobmaul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antti Brosig in the 90th minute of the match.
