Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Manfred Lederer started the match with the kick off. FC HARZ THALE's Manfred Lederer got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manfred Lederer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leif-Eric Schubeus came out and tried to block the shot, but Manfred Lederer slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfred Lederer in the 20th minute of play forced SV Neubeckum's goalkeeper Leif-Eric Schubeus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leif-Eric Schubeus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niclas Oppenheim in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, SV Neubeckum's goal looked a bit too open when Niclas Oppenheim came free, but Leif-Eric Schubeus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Montenegro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tobias Warlies. FC HARZ THALE's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Manfred Lederer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leif-Eric Schubeus having to make a save. When Hasso Klenk fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Neubeckum's protests and gave Hasso Klenk a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SV Neubeckum's Hasso Klenk got a free kick in the 34th minute. Arne Hormes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 41stth minute of the game Harald Ziegler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC HARZ THALE's Tobias Warlies was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Niko Dirks fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC HARZ THALE's protests and gave Niko Dirks a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC HARZ THALE! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harald Ziegler made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, SV Neubeckum's Harald Ziegler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tobias Warlies narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Niko Dirks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobias Warlies made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Hasso Klenk sent off a good shot on target. Raphael Kompa charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raphael Kompa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd minute, Raphael Kompa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gereon Dingels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Tobias Warlies tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tobias Warlies made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Ziegler in the 72nd minute of play. After 72 played minutes SV Neubeckum got a freekick which was hit by Marco Mussauer. Leif-Eric Schubeus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niclas Oppenheim in the 73rd minute of the match. When Arne Hormes came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the SV Neubeckum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arne Hormes couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in FC HARZ THALE's zone, Harald Ziegler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobias Warlies came out of the goal and Harald Ziegler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SV Neubeckum's Arne Hormes pulled a muscle in his leg after 94 minutes and couldn't finish the game.
