SV Neubeckum's Leif-Eric Schubeus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save SV Neubeckum from getting a goal against them. 16 minutes into the game, Jan Birmes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. WATTENSCHEID's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SV Neubeckum the free kick. Jan Birmes hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Harald Ziegler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Thieltges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leif-Eric Schubeus came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by WATTENSCHEID's Christoph Kaufhold. But to his dismay, Christoph Kaufhold quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harald Ziegler in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Thieltges saved WATTENSCHEID from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Arne Hormes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harald Ziegler might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Thieltges. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harald Ziegler ran back to his position shaking his head. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Leif-Eric Schubeus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niels Tempel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes into the game, Robert Pleve cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Leif-Eric Schubeus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arne Hormes's late challenge caught a WATTENSCHEID's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arne Hormes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th match minute, SV Neubeckum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Hormes to maneuver through the defense. Arne Hormes hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Harald Ziegler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Richard Thieltges made a huge save. Arne Hormes got his second yellow card in the match during the 64th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 64th minute, Arne Hormes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 80 played minutes WATTENSCHEID got a freekick which was hit by Neo Wünsche. In the 80th minute of the match Hasso Klenk sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Richard Thieltges skillfully saved the ball. Harald Ziegler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Thieltges having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, WATTENSCHEID's goal looked a bit too open when Harald Ziegler came free, but Richard Thieltges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Neo Wünsche in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SV Neubeckum's Marco Mussauer. WATTENSCHEID's Richard Thieltges proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save WATTENSCHEID from getting a goal against them. In the 96th minute Christoph Kaufhold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif-Eric Schubeus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. WATTENSCHEID were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SV Neubeckum for a fine match.
