Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Manfred Lederer started the match with the kick off. Tobias Warlies showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Backes in the 6th minute of the match. If Jan Backes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfred Tauss in the 8th minute of play forced FC HARZ THALE's goalkeeper Tobias Warlies to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the FC HARZ THALE defense, Jan Backes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tobias Warlies. The FC HARZ THALE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tobias Warlies should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Backes in the 13th minute of play forced FC HARZ THALE's goalkeeper Tobias Warlies to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Lusitânia's Manfred Tauss nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tobias Warlies made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 17th minute Jan Backes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Warlies saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC HARZ THALE's Tobias Warlies played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfred Tauss in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Jan Backes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lusitânia's Dimitri Grobmaul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfred Lederer in the 25th minute of play. If Manfred Tauss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC HARZ THALE's Tobias Warlies played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Backes in the 34th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan Backes in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tobias Warlies prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the match, Jan Backes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tobias Warlies. FC HARZ THALE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan Backes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Tobias Warlies came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Lusitânia's Manfred Tauss. But to his dismay, Manfred Tauss quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan Backes made a kick off. Mark Siegert hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the match, Manfred Lederer notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Lusitânia's Dimitri Grobmaul. Dimitri Grobmaul was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 60 minutes into the match, FC HARZ THALE's goalkeeper Tobias Warlies had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Backes. Tobias Warlies made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Jan Backes sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute, Manfred Tauss got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC HARZ THALE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Manfred Tauss was slow to take the kick. During this time Lusitânia's players had a chance to rest. Lusitânia's Manfred Tauss was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tobias Warlies in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Niko Dirks fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC HARZ THALE's protests and gave Niko Dirks a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lusitânia booed when FC HARZ THALE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niko Dirks didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was a brilliant solo performance by Lusitânia's Mark Siegert when he shot the ball into the net to 1-5 in the 74th minute. Tobias Warlies made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan Backes in the 81st minute. A collision led to FC HARZ THALE getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Raphael Kompa hit a great ball. Jan Backes struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Tobias Warlies didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lusitânia. 86 minutes into the match, FC HARZ THALE's goal looked a bit too open when Manfred Tauss came free, but Tobias Warlies reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, FC HARZ THALE's goalkeeper Tobias Warlies had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Backes. Jan Backes in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tobias Warlies, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, FC HARZ THALE's Bertram Rutkowski got a free kick in the 90th minute. Achim Geissler hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. After 97 played minutes, Lusitânia's Manfred Tauss shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tobias Warlies came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lusitânia reached it. Lusitânia's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
