Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mödrath's Konstantin Cronen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Christoph Kaufhold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ödön Dieler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute, Christoph Kaufhold left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The WATTENSCHEID fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 10 minutes into the game, WATTENSCHEID's Jan Birmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ödön Dieler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Konstantin Cronen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Richard Thieltges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richard Thieltges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Konstantin Cronen in the 19th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christoph Kaufhold in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ödön Dieler saved Mödrath from getting behind. In the 22nd minute, Vico Beul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Mödrath's Konstantin Cronen got a free kick in the 29th minute. When WATTENSCHEID's Christoph Kaufhold in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mödrath's goalie prevented a goal. In the 34thth minute of the game Jan Birmes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mödrath's Ödön Dieler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th minute, Jan Birmes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ödön Dieler was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. WATTENSCHEID's Richard Thieltges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstantin Cronen in the 41st minute of play. After 43 minutes, Gero Butzbach mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mödrath and the WATTENSCHEID players grew even worse after the yellow card. After the first half WATTENSCHEID were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christoph Kaufhold made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Mödrath's Steffen Lott got a free kick in the 52nd minute. A collision led to Mödrath getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Stefan Daecher hit a great ball. Konstantin Cronen charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Konstantin Cronen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot 66 in the game by Christoph Kaufhold from a close distance when the talented Ödön Dieler managed to make a qualified save. Mödrath's players were relieved. Vico Beul's late challenge caught a WATTENSCHEID's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vico Beul helped the player get up and apologised. After 67 played minutes Mödrath got a freekick which was hit by Vico Beul. Ödön Dieler made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Christoph Kaufhold sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Mödrath's Ödön Dieler got control of the ball when Christoph Kaufhold tried to sneak it across the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, WATTENSCHEID's Christoph Kaufhold nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ödön Dieler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. In the 80th minute Björn Thees shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Thieltges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mödrath's Ödön Dieler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Mödrath from getting a goal against them. Niels Tempel hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Christoph Kaufhold could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Ödön Dieler however easily saved by the left post. Christoph Kaufholds short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Ödön Dieler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of WATTENSCHEID booed when Mödrath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konstantin Cronen didn't get a good kick on the ball.
