Spectators: 7998 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Harald Ziegler started the match with the kick off. When Bruce Teichert came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Schkeuditz Ost fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruce Teichert couldn't finish the play. Clemens Clauren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joachim Schwarzbäcker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Leif-Eric Schubeus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Harald Ziegler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zinédine Vitz. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joachim Schwarzbäcker during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SV Neubeckum booed when Schkeuditz Ost was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joachim Schwarzbäcker didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute Murat Simon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif-Eric Schubeus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Clemens Clauren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leif-Eric Schubeus. SV Neubeckum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clemens Clauren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Clemens Clauren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leif-Eric Schubeus came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Schkeuditz Ost's Clemens Clauren. But to his dismay, Clemens Clauren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 34 minutes into the game, Hasso Klenk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SV Neubeckum's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schkeuditz Ost the free kick. Hasso Klenk kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The supporters of SV Neubeckum booed when Schkeuditz Ost was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joachim Schwarzbäcker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zinédine Vitz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Hasso Klenk. Leif-Eric Schubeus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemens Clauren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Gereon Dingels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd match minute, SV Neubeckum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harald Ziegler to maneuver through the defense. Abbo Stößlein hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see SV Neubeckum's Gereon Dingels in action when he in the 47th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clemens Clauren to strike the kick off in the second half. SV Neubeckum's Leif-Eric Schubeus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemens Clauren in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th play minute Joachim Schwarzbäcker came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Leif-Eric Schubeus. 1-3. Harald Ziegler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zinédine Vitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, SV Neubeckum's goal looked a bit too open when Clemens Clauren came free, but Leif-Eric Schubeus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Schkeuditz Ost's Murat Simon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leif-Eric Schubeus. That made the score 1-4 after 72 minutes of play. Leif-Eric Schubeus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemens Clauren in the 79th minute of the match. After 85 minutes of play, SV Neubeckum's Harald Ziegler made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zinédine Vitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Schkeuditz Ost's Zinédine Vitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hasso Klenk in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute Harald Ziegler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zinédine Vitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arne Hormes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Schkeuditz Ost eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
