The Neu Holthausen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerd Borretty should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Großaga FC's James Schewe got a free kick in the 35th minute. Arp Menzel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Marco Sausmikat made a huge save. In the 37th match minute, Neu Holthausen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils Genz to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Genz in the 40th minute of play forced Großaga FC's goalkeeper Marco Sausmikat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Marco Sausmikat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arp Menzel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerd Borretty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efraim Funke in the 60th minute of play. Arp Menzel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Sausmikat having to make a save. In the 64th minute Luke Raich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Sausmikat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Großaga FC defense, Arp Menzel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Sausmikat. The Großaga FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Sausmikat should have stopped the shot. After 68 played minutes Neu Holthausen got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Hähnel. The supporters of Neu Holthausen booed when Großaga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfried Fürst didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute Arp Menzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Sausmikat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Efraim Funke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerd Borretty having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Großaga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milenko Feil to maneuver through the defense. Arp Menzel took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Sausmikat. Marco Sausmikat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Gerd Borretty made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Milenko Feil sent off a good shot on target. In the 85thth minute of the game Arp Menzel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Großaga FC's Marco Sausmikat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Großaga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Raich came free, but Marco Sausmikat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luke Raich charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luke Raich the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Neu Holthausen getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Luke Raich hit a great ball. Marco Sausmikat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luke Raich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Neu Holthausen were the better team. Neu Holthausen's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
