The audience thought a goal was coming when Arp Menzel got free with Hristo Rieker in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 43 minutes into the match, Beulbar's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Raich came free, but Hristo Rieker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Nils Genz charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nils Genz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Josef Grüne got free with Gerd Borretty in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute, Arp Menzel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hristo Rieker was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Luke Raich took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hristo Rieker. Hristo Rieker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0.
