Spectators: 7975 (Terracing: 5983, Seating: 1834, VIP seats: 158) FC Ratisbona's Joscha Heiermann started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hartwig Koch kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. If Hartwig Koch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian van Hinten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Voland, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Livio Göger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hartwig Koch in the 25th minute of play. The throw-in from Roman Koberstein in the 26th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Ratisbona's David Leibinger. FC Ratisbona's Hartwig Koch got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joscha Heiermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian van Hinten made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Charles Voland sent off a good shot on target. Livio Göger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joscha Heiermann in the 38th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joscha Heiermann in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Livio Göger saved Rodenhof FSV from getting behind. 44 minutes into the match, FC Ratisbona's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Voland came free, but Sebastian van Hinten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hartwig Koch's late challenge caught a Rodenhof FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hartwig Koch helped the player get up and apologised. After the first half FC Ratisbona were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Charles Voland made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Börje Gerlinger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastian van Hinten was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Hartwig Koch was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, FC Ratisbona's Hartwig Koch got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 80th minute of the game Roman Koberstein made a throw-in which Ray Peuckert played forward. After 83 minutes of play, Rodenhof FSV's Mark Zimmermann made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastian van Hinten was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th minute, Charles Voland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the FC Ratisbona defense, Ray Peuckert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastian van Hinten. The FC Ratisbona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastian van Hinten should have stopped the shot. 91 minutes into the match, FC Ratisbona's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Voland came free, but Sebastian van Hinten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodenhof FSV were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Ratisbona for a fine match.
