Spectators: 7815 (Terracing: 5981, Seating: 1834, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Saul Gaul kicked off to start the match. Saul Gaul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frithjof Bortlisz having to interfere. Marcel Ledebur was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 19th minute. Wespen1921's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 25 minutes into the match, Saul Gaul notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Wespen1921's Frithjof Bortlisz. Frithjof Bortlisz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Günter Dröst was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mattias Kühne showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 33 minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Orlando Brockschmidt threw the ball into play from the sideline. Wespen1921's Curtis Elgert quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Wespen1921's Theodor Drautz got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Marcel Ledebur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wespen1921's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Ledebur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Günter Dröst breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcel Ledebur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Karsten Popoola fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Niederwenigern's protests and gave Karsten Popoola a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st match minute, Niederwenigern was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karsten Popoola to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Niederwenigern defense, Mattias Kühne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Günter Dröst. The Niederwenigern fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Günter Dröst should have stopped the shot. Marcel Ledebur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Günter Dröst read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. If Marcel Ledebur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 69 minutes into the game, Kristian Willem Blockmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Niederwenigern's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wespen1921 the free kick. Kristian Willem Blockmann hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Niederwenigern's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Ledebur came free, but Günter Dröst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Theodor Drautz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Marcel Ledebur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wespen1921's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel Ledebur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 82 minutes of play, Niederwenigern's Leon Klein made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frithjof Bortlisz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Wespen1921's Curtis Elgert got a free kick in the 87th minute. When Clemens Radant came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Niederwenigern fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemens Radant couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Mattias Kühne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Günter Dröst was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. There was no doubt that Wespen1921 were the better team. Wespen1921's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
