Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Degmarn FSV's Tobias Wielert started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Klaus Ratkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Richard Ullbrich during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute, one of Degmarn FSV:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Degmarn FSV. A collision led to Degmarn FSV getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Tobias Wielert hit a great ball. Immanuel Husser recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Schalke 04 II's Klaus Ratkowski got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Riegel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Burkhard Sudhoff made a huge save. Schalke 04 II's Immanuel Husser got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Klaus Ratkowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Bertram Geibel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bertram Geibel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klaus Ratkowski in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Immanuel Husser to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Schalke 04 II getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Mischa Hilsberg hit a great ball. If Marco Riegel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Immanuel Husser recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Immanuel Husser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertram Geibel having to interfere. Burkhard Sudhoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Riegel in the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Degmarn FSV's goalkeeper Bertram Geibel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Klaus Ratkowski. Burkhard Sudhoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Wielert in the 79th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Ludwig Feiert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Ludwig Feiert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Degmarn FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludwig Feiert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Burkhard Sudhoff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 92 played minutes Degmarn FSV got a freekick which was hit by Chris Bell. 96 minutes into the game, Marco Riegel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Burkhard Sudhoff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
