In the 19th minute, FC Puhl's August Kossendey dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. After having played for 21 minutes, August Kossendey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Puhl's supporters crossed their fingers, but August Kossendey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Timofej Rehnen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Arnd Müller made a huge save. Arnd Müller stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of August Kossendey's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. When Timofej Rehnen came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the FC Puhl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timofej Rehnen couldn't finish the play. Timofej Rehnen scored 4-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnd Müller, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If August Kossendey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC Puhl booed when Sivas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Tenbruck didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Per Tenbruck during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
