If Anthony Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. David Wortmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Reisch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Anthony Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Miethe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Miethe made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Horst Döhler sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Anthony Costa sped through VfL Nobbystadt's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dan Miethe. Dan Miethe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horst Döhler in the 21st minute. Rupert Bullacher kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute Anthony Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Miethe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind VfL Nobbystadt's goalkeeper Dan Miethe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dan Miethe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horst Döhler in the 39th minute. VfL Nobbystadt's Dan Miethe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Costa in the 40th minute of play. With a little luck, VfL Nobbystadt's Dan Miethe got control of the ball when Horst Döhler tried to sneak it across the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, VfL Nobbystadt's goal looked a bit too open when Anthony Costa came free, but Dan Miethe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Massimo Audorf to make the kick off. Dan Miethe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauritz Bechstein in the 51st minute of play. In the 55th minute, Anthony Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hangover 96 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Dan Miethe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthony Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After 61 played minutes, Hangover 96's Rupert Bullacher shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dan Miethe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hangover 96 reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthony Costa in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dan Miethe saved VfL Nobbystadt from getting behind. Dan Miethe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony Costa in the 64th minute of play. Heino Schwarzer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to VfL Nobbystadt getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Christoph Dresner hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Christoph Dresner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hangover 96's Wladimir Klöser was substituted for Alvar Goldenbogen. Hangover 96 made a substitution. Claudio Schefer replaced Horst Döhler. When Wladimir Klöser fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hangover 96's protests and gave Wladimir Klöser a yellow card for diving instead. VfL Nobbystadt's Dan Miethe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Schefer in the 83rd minute of play. If Claudio Schefer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Massimo Audorf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. David Wortmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Hangover 96's goalkeeper David Wortmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herbert Reisch. Claudio Schefer took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dan Miethe. Dan Miethe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hangover 96 fully deserved thier win.
