The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kryspin Babicki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josef Westermann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute FC Preußen Münster were awarded a corner. Arend Honsel went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on FC Preußen Münster's corner Arend Honsel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kryspin Babicki quite easily take care of the ball. Kryspin Babicki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josef Westermann in the 19th minute of play. Grischa Heiermann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Mieß having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Wacker FFB's goal looked a bit too open when Perry Lelke came free, but Kryspin Babicki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Wacker FFB's Grischa Heiermann in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The penalty shot was made by Gerd Bodendiek, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Preußen Münster's Adam Mieß. 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Grischa Heiermann made a kick off. After 66 minutes, Perry Lelke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Preußen Münster and the Wacker FFB players grew even worse after the yellow card. Perry Lelke hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. FC Preußen Münster's Adam Mieß played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theo Heine in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of FC Preußen Münster booed when Wacker FFB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Pinz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute Felix Majer collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. In the 97th match minute, FC Preußen Münster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rato Raab to maneuver through the defense.
