Spectators: 7630 (Terracing: 5960, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 70) Paulo Lendaa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The crowd rose to their feet as Guti's Paulo Lendaa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roland Overkamp. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. When Paulo Lendaa came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Guti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Lendaa couldn't finish the play. After 20 played minutes Stoppenbach got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Rückert. 20 minutes into the match, Guti's Sigurd Hutterer broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 29th minute Kai Arbogast shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guti's Conrado Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Werner Schäuble in the 30th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Friedemann Renner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Conrado Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abi Ungerechts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Peppo Petershagen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 52 played minutes Guti got a freekick which was hit by Friedemann Renner. 53 minutes into the match, Guti's goalkeeper Conrado Medeiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abi Ungerechts. Peppo Petershagen charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peppo Petershagen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Peppo Petershagen hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the game, Werner Schäuble recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Conrado Medeiros. Werner Schäuble showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 62nd minute, Sigurd Hutterer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Guti defense, Werner Schäuble kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Conrado Medeiros. The Guti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Conrado Medeiros should have stopped the shot. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Abi Ungerechts got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Conrado Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kai Arbogast, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Conrado Medeiros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abi Ungerechts in the 70th minute. After 72 played minutes Guti got a freekick which was hit by Sigurd Hutterer. Guti's Conrado Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Guti from getting a goal against them. Conrado Medeiros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Werner Schäuble went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. When the match was over Stoppenbach could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Guti throughout the match.
