Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Massimo Audorf got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Harald Otte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fürweiler FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VfL Nobbystadt the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in VfL Nobbystadt's zone, Murat Butzendorf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Miethe came out of the goal and Murat Butzendorf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Fürweiler FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Florian Born hit a great ball. Nicolai Löw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Reisch in the 30th minute of play. If René Fikus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herbert Reisch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicolai Löw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Reisch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Harald Otte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dan Miethe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georgi Scheider in the 42nd minute of play. Wilfried Schöne charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilfried Schöne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Arved Wiechmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. VfL Nobbystadt's supporters rose to their feet, but Arved Wiechmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolai Löw breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Figen Eberts couldn't finish the play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
