If Ronalds McDonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joakim Jensen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Schnackenberg having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Joakim Jensen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Xaver Franz struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Leo Schnackenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borussia Dortmund BVB 09. After a rather tough play, Vinnum City's Hüseyin-Kenan Lautwein got a free kick in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerd Klassen made a kick off. In the 52nd minute of the game Armin Beloch made a throw-in which Gerd Klassen played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torsten Schikowsky in the 53rd minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund BVB 09's goalkeeper Silvio Jatsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 63 minutes Vinnum City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luis Krause who took care of the corner kick. Borussia Dortmund BVB 09's Luis Krause was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Leo Schnackenberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 72nd match minute, Borussia Dortmund BVB 09 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Utz Amann to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Vinnum City getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Torsten Schikowsky hit a great ball. Borussia Dortmund BVB 09's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vinnum City the free kick. Luis Krause hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Vinnum City's Silvio Jatsu threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hüseyin-Kenan Lautwein, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Borussia Dortmund BVB 09's Ronalds McDonald got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Luis Krause hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
