The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute of the match, Ubbo Kremer got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rudolf Dörr was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some careless play in the Heigenkam defense, Josua Kuhles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastian Dannemann. The Heigenkam fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastian Dannemann should have stopped the shot. When Friedo Scherbaum fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heigenkam's protests and gave Friedo Scherbaum a yellow card for diving instead. Fred Garbe hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Heigenkam's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Fackler came free, but Sebastian Dannemann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Gregor Morlock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Manfred Diem sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Heigenkam's Sebastian Dannemann didn't even have to move. Ubbo Kremer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Rudolf Dörr made a huge save. Bernhard Schwarzkopff could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Rudolf Dörr made a huge save. Heigenkam's Sebastian Dannemann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boris Fackler in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Alfonso Holthoff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heigenkam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Holthoff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastian Dannemann came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Outer Space FC's Joost Mackenthun. But to his dismay, Joost Mackenthun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Outer Space FC's zone, Toni Kerstan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudolf Dörr came out of the goal and Toni Kerstan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd match minute, Heigenkam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregor Morlock to maneuver through the defense. The Heigenkam players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Outer Space FC were winning 1-2.

Outer Space FC's Rudolf Dörr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubbo Kremer in the 58th minute of play. After 62 played minutes Outer Space FC got a freekick which was hit by Manolo Hofmann. In the 63rd minute, Bernhard Schwarzkopff ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rudolf Dörr was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubbo Kremer in the 71st minute of play forced Outer Space FC's goalkeeper Rudolf Dörr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toni Kerstan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Boris Fackler fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sebastian Dannemann, passed just outside the right post. Sebastian Dannemann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Boris Fackler went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. 84 minutes into the match, Heigenkam's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Fackler came free, but Sebastian Dannemann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boris Fackler was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. Outer Space FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Toni Kerstan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heigenkam's supporters rose to their feet, but Toni Kerstan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudolf Dörr breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th match minute, Heigenkam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Friedo Scherbaum to maneuver through the defense. Toni Kerstan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolf Dörr having to interfere.
