Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Crotta's Bastian Biehl started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bastian Biehl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Bastian Biehl came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Crotta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bastian Biehl couldn't finish the play. After 13 played minutes SpVgg Mittelfranken 73 got a freekick which was hit by Niko Saager. Bastian Biehl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Bastian Biehl fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crotta's protests and gave Bastian Biehl a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Crotta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bastian Biehl to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, SpVgg Mittelfranken 73's Claudius van Essen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erno Günes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SpVgg Mittelfranken 73's Kasimir Brunner quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kees Weber, made in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 30th minute, Claudius van Essen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the game, Kees Weber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Crotta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SpVgg Mittelfranken 73 the free kick. After a rather tough play, Crotta's Kees Weber got a free kick in the 32nd minute. When Bastian Biehl was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 35 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Crotta's Bastian Biehl got a free kick in the 36th minute. Claudius van Essen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th match minute, SpVgg Mittelfranken 73 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niko Saager to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudius van Essen made a kick off. A collision led to SpVgg Mittelfranken 73 getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Niko Saager hit a great ball. Claudius van Essen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Erno Günes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Crotta's zone, Claudius van Essen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erno Günes came out of the goal and Claudius van Essen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerd Grawe hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. SpVgg Mittelfranken 73's Claudius van Essen got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gerd Grawe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddi Apfel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jakob Berrang having to make a save. SpVgg Mittelfranken 73 were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
