FC Hüls's Ekkehard Paroth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save 1. FC Hüls from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Dix Kromm's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ekkehard Paroth was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. A collision led to 1. FC Hüls getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Radim Reckle hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, FC Bayern München's goal looked a bit too open when Vicco Rinnerer came free, but Jakob Piepenburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Bayern München's Jakob Piepenburg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loris Bornemann in the 34th minute of play. Hauke Engbertz hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. With a little luck, 1. FC Hüls's Ekkehard Paroth got control of the ball when Sydney Haak tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th minute Loris Bornemann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jakob Piepenburg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Jakob Piepenburg was a little too slow when Vicco Rinnerer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-2. Loris Bornemann scored 0-3 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jakob Piepenburg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sandor Funkel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sandor Funkel came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the FC Bayern München fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandor Funkel couldn't finish the play. Tammo Riepert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute, Konstantin Möhle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radim Reckle hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Dix Kromm struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Ekkehard Paroth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bayern München. FC Bayern München's Jakob Piepenburg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Bayern München from getting a goal against them. Jakob Piepenburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loris Bornemann in the 94th minute of play. The FC Bayern München supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching 1. FC Hüls's performance. The match ended with a win for 1. FC Hüls.
