But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars Bohse couldn't finish the play. Calvin Hässler's late challenge caught a Mödesse's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Calvin Hässler helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Seeleiten FSV's Calvin Hässler got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Mödesse's Lars Bohse got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Chris Bothe charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chris Bothe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Seeleiten FSV getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Chris Bothe hit a great ball. A hard shot 87 in the game by Lars Bohse from a close distance when the talented Marvin Ladwig managed to make a qualified save. Seeleiten FSV's players were relieved. Udo Stehle's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Marvin Ladwig skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 93rd minute Udo Stehle managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Mödesse's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
