A collision led to FK Pirmasens getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Erik Scheiblich hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in FK Pirmasens's zone, Thomas Haraszti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronald Obser came out of the goal and Thomas Haraszti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thomas Haraszti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ronald Obser having to make a save. If Pascal Vester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Haraszti in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronald Obser prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tihomir von Fallersleben fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Obser having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FK Pirmasens's zone, Thomas Haraszti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronald Obser came out of the goal and Thomas Haraszti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caspar Finkel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronald Obser read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Philipp Rauscher took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronald Obser. Ronald Obser dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in FK Pirmasens's zone, Thomas Haraszti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronald Obser came out of the goal and Thomas Haraszti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronald Obser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Haraszti, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Pascal Vester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ronald Obser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 minutes of play, Holzbein Kiel's Philipp Rauscher made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronald Obser was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thomas Haraszti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Obser having to interfere. After the first half Holzbein Kiel were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Thomas Haraszti made the kick off in the second half. Nikolai Durr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Ronald Obser managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Holzbein Kiel's Thomas Haraszti fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Caspar Finkel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thomas Haraszti got free with Ronald Obser in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the FK Pirmasens defense, Pascal Vester kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronald Obser. The FK Pirmasens fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronald Obser should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Pascal Vester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holzbein Kiel's supporters rose to their feet, but Pascal Vester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronald Obser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 79 minutes, Pascal Vester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holzbein Kiel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pascal Vester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FK Pirmasens's Ronald Obser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Haraszti in the 84th minute of play. If Caspar Finkel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arvid Knüwe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Obser having to interfere.
