To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, Hessen Fusball's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Haraszti came free, but Paul Kremers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Hessen Fusball was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uwe Senekowitsch to maneuver through the defense. Paul Kremers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Haraszti, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Holzbein Kiel's Caspar Finkel got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, Hessen Fusball's goalkeeper Paul Kremers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arvid Knüwe. A hard shot 94 in the game by Arvid Knüwe from a close distance when the talented Paul Kremers managed to make a qualified save. Hessen Fusball's players were relieved. When Arvid Knüwe came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Holzbein Kiel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arvid Knüwe couldn't finish the play. Holzbein Kiel's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
