In the 18th minute Hubert Bäätjer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe-Jens Kretschmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Schachthalden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ryan Bayer to maneuver through the defense. Harro Deilmann ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee gave Haulingort FSV a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Christian Gutmann, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Schachthalden's Uwe-Jens Kretschmann. 0-2. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Haulingort FSV's goalkeeper Fabian Krägelin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raoul Ewert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fabian Krägelin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josef Kramer in the 51st minute of play. Josef Kramer scored 1-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabian Krägelin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Haulingort FSV's zone, Leopold Thieme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Krägelin came out of the goal and Leopold Thieme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute Raoul Ewert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe-Jens Kretschmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Nils Haaf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabian Krägelin was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Leopold Thieme took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabian Krägelin. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Uwe-Jens Kretschmann, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 72 minutes into the match, Schachthalden's Rodolfo Rubeck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabian Krägelin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nils Haaf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Haulingort FSV's Hubert Bäätjer got a free kick in the 84th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Rodolfo Rubeck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Schachthalden's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolfo Rubeck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harro Deilmann's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Uwe-Jens Kretschmann firmly grabbed it by the left post. Schachthalden's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Raoul Ewert scored to the left of an out of position Uwe-Jens Kretschmann, making the score, 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Haulingort FSV walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
