Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Nils Haaf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Werner Bürsch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Rubeck in the 6th minute of play forced Unterhaching's goalkeeper Werner Bürsch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfred Ratzmann got free with Uwe-Jens Kretschmann in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the game, Ariel Höppner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Schachthalden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unterhaching the free kick. The supporters of Unterhaching booed when Schachthalden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Höppner didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Schachthalden's Leopold Thieme in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Unterhaching's goalie prevented a goal. Alfred Ratzmanns short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Uwe-Jens Kretschmann to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 16 minutes into the match, Jeremy Wenzel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Uwe-Jens Kretschmann, 1-0. Werner Bürsch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Haaf in the 19th minute of the match. In the 25th minute Jeremy Wenzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe-Jens Kretschmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Werner Bürsch came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Schachthalden's Nils Haaf. But to his dismay, Nils Haaf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 29 minutes of play, Schachthalden's Nils Haaf made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Werner Bürsch was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopold Thieme in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Werner Bürsch saved Unterhaching from getting behind. Olaf Schulz scored 3-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Uwe-Jens Kretschmann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremy Wenzel, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Olaf Schulz sent off a good shot on target. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frieder Eckhardt in the 40th minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Frieder Eckhardt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unterhaching's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frieder Eckhardt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Schachthalden's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jeremy Wenzel 45 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nils Haaf stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Nils Haaf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Werner Bürsch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodolfo Rubecks short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Werner Bürsch to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 60 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Rubeck lined in a short shot 4-3 behind a frustrated Werner Bürsch. Josef Kramer hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Schachthalden's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeremy Wenzel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3. 71 minutes into the game, Thorsten Sammert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Frieder Eckhardt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unterhaching's supporters rose to their feet, but Frieder Eckhardt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rodolfo Rubeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
