Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Wesseling's Rolf Sonntag started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Afonso Santarém made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frieder Eckhardt in the 3rd minute of play. After having played for 9 minutes, Rolf Sonntag managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Wesseling's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolf Sonntag was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, FC Wesseling's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremy Wenzel came free, but Afonso Santarém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Unterhaching getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Alfred Ratzmann hit a great ball. Rolf Sonntag received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Werner Bürsch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Jeremy Wenzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Santarém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfred Ratzmann's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Afonso Santarém firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to FC Wesseling getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Gürkan Yurtseven hit a great ball. FC Wesseling's Rolf Sonntag got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Unterhaching defense, Rolf Sonntag kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Werner Bürsch. The Unterhaching fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Werner Bürsch should have stopped the shot. In the 39th minute, Hans Müntefering ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Werner Bürsch was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Rolf Sonntag had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Santarém showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremy Wenzel, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremy Wenzel to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Hans Müntefering cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Werner Bürsch was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rolf Sonntag who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Werner Bürsch when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ahmed Pflug received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Werner Bürsch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Werner Bürsch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Till Stöhr in the 72nd minute of play. Rolf Sonntag in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Werner Bürsch, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rolf Sonntag recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute of the match, Rolf Sonntag got a very nice opportunity to score, but Werner Bürsch was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 88 minutes into the game, Unterhaching's Alfred Ratzmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afonso Santarém made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Afonso Santarém didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeremy Wenzel went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score.
