Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomáš Bacho took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 8th minute of the match, Tomáš Bacho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Werner Bürsch was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Tomáš Bacho came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Fortuna Dresden FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomáš Bacho couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute, Fortuna Dresden FC's Tomáš Bacho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Werner Bürsch. Werner Bürsch yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of Fortuna Dresden FC booed when Unterhaching was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harald Gomminginger didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Jeremy Wenzel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Benjamin Franke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Frieder Eckhardt kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Werner Bürsch acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 38th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hartwin Maringer. Unterhaching's Werner Bürsch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomáš Bacho in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeremy Wenzel made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Unterhaching got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Ratzmann. Werner Bürsch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomáš Bacho in the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to Unterhaching getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Chris Neubrandt hit a great ball. Faudel Houllier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Werner Bürsch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Tomáš Bacho put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Werner Bürsch. In the 64th minute, Balan Gonzáles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomáš Bacho in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Werner Bürsch saved Unterhaching from getting behind. In the 71st minute, Jeremy Wenzel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Balan Gonzáles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Werner Bürsch. Unterhaching's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Unterhaching's zone, Faudel Houllier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Werner Bürsch came out of the goal and Faudel Houllier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frieder Eckhardt hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the game, Frieder Eckhardt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Unterhaching's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fortuna Dresden FC the free kick. In the 83rd minute, Frieder Eckhardt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Franke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frieder Eckhardt in the 86th minute of the match. If Balan Gonzáles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olaf Schulz hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomáš Bacho in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Werner Bürsch saved Unterhaching from getting behind. In the 95thth minute of the game Tomáš Bacho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unterhaching's Werner Bürsch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fortuna Dresden FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
