Fabian Krägelin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 18 minutes into the match, FC Wesseling's goal looked a bit too open when Raoul Ewert came free, but Afonso Santarém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harro Deilmann got free with Afonso Santarém in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silvano Goldsche charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvano Goldsche the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hubert Bäätjer didn't quite understand what happened when in the 22 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Merten Koppelmann came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Afonso Santarém could save by the left post. Rolf Sonntag sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rolf Sonntag fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Krägelin having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Rolf Sonntag managed to get in a good position for a shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Rolf Sonntag had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Santarém showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hubert Bäätjer, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Fabian Krägelin was a little too slow when Ahmed Pflug got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-5. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when Ahmed Pflug put in a rough tackle. In the 61st minute, one of FC Wesseling:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Wesseling. The referee gave Haulingort FSV a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Christian Gutmann, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Wesseling's Afonso Santarém. 1-5. Rolf Sonntag sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Wesseling's Afonso Santarém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raoul Ewert in the 76th minute of play. After 78 played minutes, Haulingort FSV's Udo Terstappen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Afonso Santarém came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Haulingort FSV reached it. Rolf Sonntags short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Fabian Krägelin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merten Koppelmann in the 80th minute of play forced FC Wesseling's goalkeeper Afonso Santarém to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Rolf Sonntag sped through Haulingort FSV's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fabian Krägelin. Hans Müntefering sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 minutes of play, FC Wesseling's Rolf Sonntag made it 1-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabian Krägelin was left in no man's land by his defense there! 95 minutes into the match, Haulingort FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Rolf Sonntag came free, but Fabian Krägelin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merten Koppelmann scored 2-8 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonso Santarém, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Haulingort FSV fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Wesseling were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
