After 5 minutes, Perikles Windhausen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kriebitzsch and the Neubrandenburg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Kriebitzsch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perikles Windhausen to maneuver through the defense. Kriebitzsch's Philipp Gunselmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fritz Rudolf Bankett in the 6th minute of play. Fritz Rudolf Bankett struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Philipp Gunselmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neubrandenburg. In the 15th minute, Fritz Rudolf Bankett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabrizio Neubrandt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Arko Lau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neubrandenburg's Arko Lau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Bähnert in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Neubrandenburg booed when Kriebitzsch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Bähnert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Philipp Gunselmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fritz Rudolf Bankett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Perikles Windhausen kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Pierre Bähnert kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Fritz Rudolf Bankett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philipp Gunselmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36thth minute of the game Fritz Rudolf Bankett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kriebitzsch's Philipp Gunselmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Kriebitzsch's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Sünneke came free, but Philipp Gunselmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Kriebitzsch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mattias Abälard to maneuver through the defense. Julian Sünneke, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Fritz Rudolf Bankett notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Kriebitzsch's Philipp Gunselmann. Philipp Gunselmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Kriebitzsch players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Neubrandenburg were winning 0-1.

When Tjard Buhlert fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Neubrandenburg's protests and gave Tjard Buhlert a yellow card for diving instead. Uwe Jaschke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arko Lau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Neubrandenburg were furious when David Paul was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 57th minute, David Paul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fritz Rudolf Bankett came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Neubrandenburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fritz Rudolf Bankett couldn't finish the play. After 75 minutes of play, Kriebitzsch's Uwe Jaschke made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arko Lau was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 78th minute, Horst Schmidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pierre Bähnert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pierre Bähnert in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arko Lau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kriebitzsch succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Neubrandenburg had controlled the match.
