With a little luck, 1.Göppinger SV's Michael Bremicker got control of the ball when Niklas Beyersdorf tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 7th minute, Eustaquio Bartuelo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 1.Göppinger SV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Gerard Feld was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fc Windorf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1.Göppinger SV the free kick. After 14 played minutes Fc Windorf got a freekick which was hit by Gerard Feld. After a rather tough play, Fc Windorf's Reinhard Bieberkopf got a free kick in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the game, André Abelmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Steffen Czerwinski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Michael Bremicker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niklas Beyersdorf in the 20th minute of play. Sol Diebold hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Fc Windorf's Steffen Czerwinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Abelmann in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fc Windorf's Alf Schock got a free kick in the 29th minute. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-3 when André Abelmann sped through Fc Windorf's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Steffen Czerwinski. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niklas Beyersdorf got free with Michael Bremicker in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute, Niklas Beyersdorf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 minutes, Ferdinand Aretz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc Windorf and the 1.Göppinger SV players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of 1.Göppinger SV booed when Fc Windorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Aretz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Immanuel Bomke missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 44 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Steffen Czerwinski right hand side. In the 49th minute of the match 1.Göppinger SV got a corner. Fc Windorf's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jean Moura ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Jean Moura got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Steffen Czerwinski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After the first half 1.Göppinger SV were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niklas Beyersdorf to make the kick off. After 58 played minutes Fc Windorf got a freekick which was hit by Gerard Feld. The audience was convinced that André Abelmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Steffen Czerwinski was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Alf Schock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Bremicker having to interfere. Fc Windorf's Steffen Czerwinski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Windorf from getting a goal against them. Steffen Czerwinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Bartuelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Fc Windorf getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Alf Schock hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched 1.Göppinger SV eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
