The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

During the 52nd minute of the match Tim Rousek completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tim Rousek a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Tim Rousek kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Oskar Bergmeister hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After 66 played minutes Büsum FC got a freekick which was hit by Dietrich Kölzig. When Wendelin Habel came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Bornheim FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wendelin Habel couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute, Steven Piesche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the game, Bornheim FC's Wendelin Habel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Henning made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. If Edwin Breuler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute.
