Luis Thönnes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 27 minutes into the match. Górnik Zabrze's Marcus Rashford proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Górnik Zabrze from getting a goal against them. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dario Raderecht could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Marcus Rashford made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Ahrmühle FC's Dario Raderecht slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcus Rashford. That made the score 2-3 after 45 minutes of play.

The wind increased when Dario Raderecht made the kick off in the second half. Ahrmühle FC's Richard Miller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosimo Hötte in the 52nd minute of play. Richard Miller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosimo Hötte, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The supporters of Górnik Zabrze booed when Ahrmühle FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. August Glaser didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frido Lausberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Richard Miller made a huge save. If Dario Raderecht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 minutes of play, Ahrmühle FC's Dario Raderecht made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcus Rashford was left in no man's land by his defense there! Richard Miller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Volker Wischnowsky in the 94th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Frido Lausberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Richard Miller. That made the score 4-4 in the 96 minute of play. Górnik Zabrze were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Ahrmühle FC to leave the ground with a draw.
