Franco Stinner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neubrandenburg. After some careless play in the Kosbach defense, Fritz Rudolf Bankett kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franco Stinner. The Kosbach fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco Stinner should have stopped the shot. In the 26th minute Abdelaziz Bendel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arko Lau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Julian Sünneke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Neubrandenburg getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Rainer Maria Volkmann hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Kosbach's Ansgar von Scheliha got a free kick in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fritz Rudolf Bankett to make the kick off. When Fritz Rudolf Bankett came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Neubrandenburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fritz Rudolf Bankett couldn't finish the play. Arko Lau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Thommes in the 53rd minute of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Fritz Rudolf Bankett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neubrandenburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fritz Rudolf Bankett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franco Stinner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Sünneke went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Arko Lau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphael Thommes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franco Stinner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fritz Rudolf Bankett's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Fritz Rudolf Bankett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franco Stinner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Kosbach's Franco Stinner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fritz Rudolf Bankett in the 69th minute of play. If Fritz Rudolf Bankett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franco Stinner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fritz Rudolf Bankett, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Julian Sünneke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Franco Stinner. Kosbach's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Sünneke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. After having played for 78 minutes, Fritz Rudolf Bankett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neubrandenburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fritz Rudolf Bankett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79thth minute of the game Julian Sünneke who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kosbach's Franco Stinner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 80th match minute, Kosbach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ansgar von Scheliha to maneuver through the defense. Franco Stinner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fritz Rudolf Bankett in the 86th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the game, Ansgar von Scheliha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kosbach's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Neubrandenburg the free kick. Ansgar von Scheliha kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Franco Stinner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fritz Rudolf Bankett, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The Kosbach fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Neubrandenburg were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
