Sven Stöhr was a little too slow when Maxim Overkamp got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. 12 minutes into the game, Mathias Browald was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1.Fc Theostadt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Süderheidetal FC the free kick. After 12 played minutes 1.Fc Theostadt got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Browald. Uwe Verpoort fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Stöhr having to interfere. Sven Stöhr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxim Overkamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Maxim Overkamp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 1.Fc Theostadt's Sven Stöhr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Overkamp in the 29th minute of play. Uwe Verpoort could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Sven Stöhr made a huge save. 33 minutes into the match, Süderheidetal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arminius Greitemeier came free, but Eddi Schuster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Arminius Greitemeier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eddi Schuster. Süderheidetal FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arminius Greitemeier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jaden Hampl charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaden Hampl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Süderheidetal FC booed when 1.Fc Theostadt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaden Hampl didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Mathias Browald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arminius Greitemeier was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Arminius Greitemeier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddi Schuster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 minutes of play 1.Fc Theostadt's Mathias Browald was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Uwe Verpoort received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Sven Stöhr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jaden Hampl came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the 1.Fc Theostadt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaden Hampl couldn't finish the play. Ole Weis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Kirchberger during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Süderheidetal FC. Ferdinand Rentsch stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sven Stöhr. 2-2. 97 minutes into the match, 1.Fc Theostadt's goal looked a bit too open when Uwe Verpoort came free, but Sven Stöhr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1.Fc Theostadt were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
