The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Klemens Hemmel fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Joga Bonito 1893's protests and gave Klemens Hemmel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th match minute, Joga Bonito 1893 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klemens Hemmel to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Joga Bonito 1893's zone, Anthony Töller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gottfried Hollstein came out of the goal and Anthony Töller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Torsten Hegekötter charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torsten Hegekötter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Siebenbergen booed when Joga Bonito 1893 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsten Hegekötter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Jerzy Walden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st minute, Luka Ostermann reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gottfried Hollstein. The goal made the score 1-0. Torsten Hegekötter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Hansjürgen Kumpf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matthias Bohm kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Frederik Riester was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anthony Töller got free with Gottfried Hollstein in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute, Frederik Riester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Joga Bonito 1893's goal looked a bit too open when Luka Ostermann came free, but Gottfried Hollstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torsten Ngo struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Gottfried Hollstein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Siebenbergen. After a rather tough play, Siebenbergen's Gerald Decker got a free kick in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco Hetz made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Alvar Korte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 55 minutes into the game, Marco Hetz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Joga Bonito 1893's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Siebenbergen the free kick. Marco Hetz hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Anthony Töller made a precise shot to the right of Gottfried Hollstein. Joga Bonito 1893's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Jerzy Walden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute Marco Hetz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hansjürgen Kumpf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gottfried Hollstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthony Töller, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Hetz in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hansjürgen Kumpf saved Siebenbergen from getting behind. Joga Bonito 1893's Alvar Korte got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Siebenbergen's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Walden came free, but Hansjürgen Kumpf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Joga Bonito 1893's goal looked a bit too open when Luka Ostermann came free, but Gottfried Hollstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Siebenbergen booed when Joga Bonito 1893 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Brandt didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Siebenbergen had won after a very even match.
