In the 2nd match minute, Zonguldakspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mads Kopitz to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Wolfgang Laudan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Welterod's supporters rose to their feet, but Wolfgang Laudan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeo Rudinsky breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Mads Kopitz fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zonguldakspor's protests and gave Mads Kopitz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Welterod booed when Zonguldakspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mads Kopitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Zonguldakspor's Pascal Stemmer got a free kick in the 13th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Zonguldakspor's zone, Ron Mengel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Rudinsky came out of the goal and Ron Mengel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Wolfgang Laudan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romeo Rudinsky. Zonguldakspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wolfgang Laudan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ron Mengel took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romeo Rudinsky. Romeo Rudinsky dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Wolfgang Laudan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Romeo Rudinsky tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ron Mengel struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Romeo Rudinsky didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Welterod. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Reichert during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Wolfgang Laudan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the game, Welterod's Ron Mengel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romeo Rudinsky made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ron Mengel made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Zonguldakspor's zone, Jörg Ngo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Rudinsky came out of the goal and Jörg Ngo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ron Mengel came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Welterod fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ron Mengel couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ron Mengel in the 61st minute of play forced Zonguldakspor's goalkeeper Romeo Rudinsky to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Zonguldakspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mads Kopitz to maneuver through the defense. Welterod's Ron Mengel got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ron Mengel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pascal Stemmer during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ron Mengel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Rudinsky having to interfere. Welterod's Jörg Ngo got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jörg Ngo came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Welterod fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jörg Ngo couldn't finish the play. If Ron Mengel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Welterod's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
