Spectators: 7632 (Terracing: 5974, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 158) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Uwe Mehring took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Welterod's Aldo Auerbach got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute, Raphael Wegener hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Welterod's Benjamin Sülzner got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 35th minute, Uwe Mehring got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Wolfgang Laudan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uwe Mehring recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th match minute, VfB Deizisau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egmont Blomme to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Klemens Paula made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Klemens Paula in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rainer Fesseler saved Welterod from getting behind. After 57 played minutes Welterod got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Sülzner. Klemens Paula succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Uwe Mehring's late challenge caught a VfB Deizisau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Uwe Mehring helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74thth minute of the game Uwe Mehring who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VfB Deizisau's Jens Achenbach was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Welterod booed when VfB Deizisau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ditmar Gowinkowsky didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 78th minute of the match Uwe Mehring completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Uwe Mehring a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of VfB Deizisau booed when Welterod was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uwe Mehring didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rainer Fesseler came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by VfB Deizisau's Klemens Paula. But to his dismay, Klemens Paula quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. If Joel Caldas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Welterod's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Huch came free, but Rainer Fesseler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Wolfgang Laudan came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Welterod fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wolfgang Laudan couldn't finish the play. Benjamin Sülzner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens Achenbach having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. VfB Deizisau were victorious despite being under pressure from Welterod for much of the match.
