The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Yao Rong Zhen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oberndorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Yao Rong Zhen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klaus Fydrich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute Franz Pape shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Apicella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Oberndorf:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Langereihe FC:s goal. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for Langereihe FC. Eyjölfur Krieglmeier stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Claudio Apicella. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yao Rong Zhen in the 21st minute of play forced Langereihe FC's goalkeeper Klaus Fydrich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Klaus Fydrich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yao Rong Zhen in the 23rd minute of play. Ion Jula's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Klaus Fydrich skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 27thth minute of the game Balko Murschel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oberndorf's Claudio Apicella was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Emanuel Ulbricht was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Langereihe FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oberndorf the free kick. In the 31st minute, Emanuel Ulbricht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 played minutes Oberndorf got a freekick which was hit by Ion Jula. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yao Rong Zhen during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 38 minutes of play, Langereihe FC's Balko Murschel made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudio Apicella was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Ion Jula took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Klaus Fydrich to make any attempt to save it. In the 45th match minute, Langereihe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Ulbricht to maneuver through the defense. Ion Julas short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Klaus Fydrich to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ion Jula could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Klaus Fydrich made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ion Jula to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yao Rong Zhen in the 53rd minute of play forced Langereihe FC's goalkeeper Klaus Fydrich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Klaus Fydrich didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yao Rong Zhen went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. When Ludo Muth fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Langereihe FC's protests and gave Ludo Muth a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Oberndorf booed when Langereihe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludo Muth didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Balko Murschel got free with Claudio Apicella in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pirmin Schweiger charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pirmin Schweiger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Oberndorf's zone, Franz Pape stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Apicella came out of the goal and Franz Pape tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Oberndorf's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eyjölfur Krieglmeier was slow to take the kick. During this time Langereihe FC's players had a chance to rest. Eyjölfur Krieglmeier shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 93 minutes into the match, Yao Rong Zhen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Klaus Fydrich. Langereihe FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yao Rong Zhen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. After having played for 99 minutes, Franz Pape managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Langereihe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franz Pape was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oberndorf's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
