Silvio Gorgs hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After 6 played minutes Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Barnabas Kipper. Arp Nonnenmacher acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 7th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Roland Altmann. In the 7th minute, Silvio Gorgs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chelsea's Arp Nonnenmacher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Chelsea from getting a goal against them. Arp Nonnenmacher made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Gunther Placke sent off a good shot on target. Gunther Placke scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arp Nonnenmacher, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Walter Boos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Arp Nonnenmacher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gunther Placke fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Rittsteig's protests and gave Gunther Placke a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, SV Rittsteig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunther Placke to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th match minute, Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halil Bohlen to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Freerk Clason in the 31st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Chelsea's Edward Perrey. A collision led to Chelsea getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Freerk Clason kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 56th minute of the match Freerk Clason shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arp Nonnenmacher showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Chelsea's Georg Richstein got a free kick in the 57th minute. The audience was convinced that Walter Boos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arp Nonnenmacher was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 60th match minute, Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barnabas Kipper to maneuver through the defense. Arp Nonnenmacher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Boos, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunther Placke in the 66th minute of play forced Chelsea's goalkeeper Arp Nonnenmacher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Georg Richstein ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastian Mann was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. In the 94th minute Graham Kalthoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Mann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SV Rittsteig had played much better football throughout.
