But to his dismay, Octavian Basten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Octavian Basten scored 0-2 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastian Mann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sebastian Mann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Haupt in the 17th minute of play. After 20 minutes of play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Octavian Basten made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastian Mann was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the match, SV Rittsteig's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Haupt came free, but Sebastian Mann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Shawn Klenk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th match minute, SV Rittsteig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wenzel Stöckel to maneuver through the defense. After 28 minutes, Octavian Basten made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. SV Rittsteig's Sebastian Mann tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 31st minute of play forced SV Rittsteig's goalkeeper Sebastian Mann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Mesut Özil made a precise shot to the right of Sebastian Mann. SV Rittsteig's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. 35 minutes into the game, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Anestis Kotsopoulos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Mann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Sebastian Mann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Sebastian Mann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 43rd minute of the match. After 45 minutes of play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Hugo Haupt made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastian Mann was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The wind increased when Felix Steimer made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Hugo Haupt took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Sebastian Mann to make any attempt to save it.
