The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as VfB Deizisau's Joel Caldas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Josef Griese. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Merten Glaser charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Merten Glaser the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes Eltze got a freekick which was hit by Merten Glaser. Eltze's Josef Griese proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Eltze from getting a goal against them. Uwe Gunselmann hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Josef Griese made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Klemens Paula sent off a good shot on target. Josef Griese was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Klemens Paula showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 29 minutes into the game, when Arnd Beinmagd put in a rough tackle. In the 29th match minute, Eltze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnd Beinmagd to maneuver through the defense. Eltze's Josef Griese played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klemens Paula in the 32nd minute of play. Ingo Lütkebohmert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens Achenbach having to interfere. A throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game was made by Georg Drews with Esau Banke as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Klemens Paula to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sydney Huch in the 51st minute of play forced Eltze's goalkeeper Josef Griese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josef Griese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Caldas in the 52nd minute of the match. A collision led to Eltze getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Uwe Gunselmann hit a great ball. Joel Caldas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josef Griese having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Joel Caldas made a precise shot to the right of Josef Griese. Eltze's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 63rd minute Ditmar Gowinkowsky shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Griese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josef Griese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Caldas in the 66th minute of play. Ingo Lütkebohmert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute of the game, Joel Caldas landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Merten Glaser got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 71 played minutes Eltze got a freekick which was hit by Merten Glaser. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Eltze's goalkeeper Josef Griese, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 75 played minutes Eltze got a freekick which was hit by Uwe Gunselmann. Josef Griese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney Huch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sydney Huch charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sydney Huch the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, VfB Deizisau's Sydney Huch got a free kick in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ditmar Gowinkowsky in the 89th minute of play forced Eltze's goalkeeper Josef Griese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josef Griese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphael Wegener, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josef Griese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Huch in the 93rd minute of the match. VfB Deizisau's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
