Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Paris's Rainald Bergmann started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rainald Bergmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrike Schwarz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, one of Paris:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Albert Kleimeier placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Raphael Weller came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Carl Zeiss Jena 1903's Jörg Ihm. But to his dismay, Jörg Ihm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 19th minute, Wilhelm Gatzke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rainald Bergmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Schewe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrike Schwarz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörg Ihm in the 32nd minute of play forced Paris's goalkeeper Raphael Weller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brix Schütze kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Wilhelm Gatzke made a precise shot to the right of Raphael Weller. Paris's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 38 minutes into the game, Jörg Ihm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carl Zeiss Jena 1903's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paris the free kick. Jörg Ihm kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 44 played minutes Carl Zeiss Jena 1903 got a freekick which was hit by Ashley Stahlschmidt.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilhelm Gatzke made a kick off. Henrike Schwarz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Schewe, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Schewe in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrike Schwarz saved Carl Zeiss Jena 1903 from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilhelm Gatzke in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raphael Weller saved Paris from getting behind. Carl Zeiss Jena 1903 were furious when Nepomuk Vogler was red carded, 70 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carl Zeiss Jena 1903! Jörg Ihm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Wahlberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute, Brix Schütze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute Manuel Schewe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrike Schwarz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrike Schwarz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Schewe in the 98th minute of the match. The Carl Zeiss Jena 1903 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Carl Zeiss Jena 1903 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
