Albert Kleimeier got in the 18th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Ernst Pahl. This was a shot which ended in a score of 2-0. Ernst Pahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Gatzke, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Carl Zeiss Jena 1903's Wilhelm Gatzke dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Manuel Wahlberg took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Ernst Pahl to make any attempt to save it. In the 46th match minute, Deutsche National 11 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siegfried Kreber to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilhelm Gatzke to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Gatzke in the 52nd minute of play forced Deutsche National 11's goalkeeper Ernst Pahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernst Pahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörg Ihm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Deutsche National 11's goal looked a bit too open when Wilhelm Gatzke came free, but Ernst Pahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jörg Ihm scored 6-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernst Pahl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peer Eggers charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
