Matthew Hildebrand made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Hannes Rösler sent off a good shot on target. In the 10th minute, Stierstadt FSV's Ferdi Wirth seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ferdi Wirth the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Stierstadt FSV protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ferdi Wirth had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Anton Allensbach struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Matthew Hildebrand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stierstadt FSV. Nemo Bucher hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Eckhard Girrbach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnim Irmscher charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnim Irmscher the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Stierstadt FSV booed when FC Donautal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnim Irmscher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Otto Knauf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lars Bowermann hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 26thth minute of the game Eckhard Girrbach who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stierstadt FSV's Jan Kreibisch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Caspar Cabada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan Kreibisch was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Jan Kreibisch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Friedemann Burkert in the 34th minute of play. FC Donautal's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Anton Allensbach 36 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Caspar Cabada kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. When Otto Knauf came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Stierstadt FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otto Knauf couldn't finish the play. If Anton Allensbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nemo Bucher fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stierstadt FSV's protests and gave Nemo Bucher a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Nemo Bucher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Stierstadt FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Louis Volkmer came free, but Jan Kreibisch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half FC Donautal were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Otto Knauf made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, FC Donautal's Friedemann Burkert ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jan Kreibisch. Jan Kreibisch yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Caspar Cabada took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Jan Kreibisch to make any attempt to save it. Nemo Bucher hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Eckhard Girrbach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jan Kreibisch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Friedemann Burkert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Kreibisch having to interfere. With a little luck, Stierstadt FSV's Jan Kreibisch got control of the ball when Eckhard Girrbach tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stefano Nork fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Hildebrand having to interfere. Otto Knauf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Friedemann Burkert made a precise shot to the right of Jan Kreibisch. Stierstadt FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. If Eckhard Girrbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Donautal were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Stierstadt FSV's much stronger midfield.
