Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ekkehard Störmer started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Davor Ammann reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Morten Trittin. The goal made the score 1-0. A collision led to FC Peging getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Jacob Otte hit a great ball. Ekkehard Störmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jörg Wengle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14thth minute of the game Ekkehard Störmer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wüllenrath's Jörg Wengle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Markus Hofmeier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Heinrich Furchner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When FC Peging's Ekkehard Störmer in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wüllenrath's goalie prevented a goal. In the 23rd minute, Götz Kunstmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Ekkehard Störmer put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jörg Wengle. Davor Ammann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Morten Trittin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davor Ammann in the 43rd minute of play. When Ekkehard Störmer fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Peging's protests and gave Ekkehard Störmer a yellow card for diving instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Markus Hofmeier was the one to do the kick off. Jens Feuereisen hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FC Peging's Heinrich Furchner got a free kick in the 55th minute. Jörg Wengle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ekkehard Störmer's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Ekkehard Störmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jörg Wengle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Jens Feuereisen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wüllenrath's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Peging the free kick. Shawn Robbe made in the 71st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Piet Posch immediately put the ball in play. Felix Hartwig made in the 75th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Davor Ammann immediately put the ball in play. Morten Trittin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davor Ammann, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Heinrich Furchner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörg Wengle having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Heinrich Furchner cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jörg Wengle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The FC Peging players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
