A collision led to Küsd getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Palle Strohm hit a great ball. If Virgil Degener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 14th match minute, Küsd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Palle Strohm to maneuver through the defense. Hemmo Bothner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stanislaw Babetzki having to make a save. Hemmo Bothners short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Stanislaw Babetzki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Küsd's Aristide Apostel got a free kick in the 21st minute. Herbert Schieder hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Christen Ruppmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rollo Ringelnatz, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Udenborn's Stanislaw Babetzki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Udenborn from getting a goal against them. Siegfried Tassler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Hemmo Bothner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hemmo Bothner to make the kick off. Herbert Schieder hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Stanislaw Babetzki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hemmo Bothner went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 58thth minute of the game Hemmo Bothner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Udenborn's Stanislaw Babetzki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Palle Strohm took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stanislaw Babetzki. Udenborn's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 63rd minute Aristide Apostel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislaw Babetzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 minutes, Hemmo Bothner made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Udenborn's Stanislaw Babetzki tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 68thth minute of the game Hemmo Bothner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Udenborn's Stanislaw Babetzki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hartmut Kosch took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christen Ruppmann. Christen Ruppmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hemmo Bothner in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stanislaw Babetzki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stanislaw Babetzki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hemmo Bothner's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Stanislaw Babetzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hemmo Bothner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 played minutes Udenborn got a freekick which was hit by Rollo Ringelnatz. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hemmo Bothner in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stanislaw Babetzki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Georg Menge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hemmo Bothner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislaw Babetzki having to interfere. The Udenborn supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Udenborn would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
