Ignatius Schönbein charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ignatius Schönbein the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. KFC Uerdingen's Klaus-Dieter van Hoddis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Haemer in the 9th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Cevapcici's zone, Karl Gabler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bolo Schüttler came out of the goal and Karl Gabler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matthias Kurbjuweits short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Bolo Schüttler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, FC Cevapcici's Daniele Berres got a free kick in the 16th minute. Klaus-Dieter van Hoddis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Wagner in the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Uerdingen's goalkeeper Klaus-Dieter van Hoddis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Klaus-Dieter van Hoddis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Haemer, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Klaus-Dieter van Hoddis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronald Wagner in the 32nd minute of play. Matthias Kurbjuweit received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. It was a penalty for KFC Uerdingen! In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for FC Cevapcici. Wolf Krichbaum stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Klaus-Dieter van Hoddis. 1-1. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matthias Kurbjuweit made a kick off. Emile Sand hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Klaus-Dieter van Hoddis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Haemer in the 61st minute of the match.
