The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elmar Appelt got free with Bertram Verlinden in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bertram Verlinden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukas Hutterer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gustav Cassirer fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zwickling's protests and gave Gustav Cassirer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Gustav Cassirer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bertram Verlinden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukas Hutterer, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Bertram Verlinden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elmar Appelt in the 58th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Lukas Hutterer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertram Verlinden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dierk Mackensen's late challenge caught a Rosenfeld's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dierk Mackensen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Zwickling was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dierk Mackensen to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Klemens Schramm made a precise shot to the right of Bertram Verlinden. Zwickling's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1.
