After having played for 21 minutes, Hartmut Kosch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Udenborn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hartmut Kosch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of FC Cevapcici booed when Udenborn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rollo Ringelnatz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stanislaw Babetzki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Haemer, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roman Haemer made a kick off. Bolo Schüttler was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Virgil Degener capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Virgil Degener really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Virgil Degener's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bolo Schüttler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. The FC Cevapcici supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Udenborn's performance. The match ended with a win for Udenborn.
