Valérien Jahnke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Kohler in the 9th minute of play. Jochen Schubert made in the 12th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Alflen FSV's Emanuel Kohler. With a little luck, Alflen FSV's Karim Scheuerlein got control of the ball when Rando Backesdorf tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonas Hamann charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Hamann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, Rübeer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Hamann to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Christoph Wolters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valérien Jahnke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Kohler in the 44th minute of play forced Rübeer's goalkeeper Valérien Jahnke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Rübeer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Micha-Alexander Matheis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.
